Center marks and lines

You can put a center mark on any circle, arc, cylinder end, or sphere, and you can put center lines on any cylindrical face on a drawing sheet.

To add a center mark or center line

1. Click the Center LineA straight line, arc, or spline drawn in Sketch mode or on a layout plane. Lines have length but no area. When you pull a sketch into 3D with the Pull tool, lines become edges. tool .

2. Click an:

   • Edge3D object composed of a single outside boundary of a feature. A line sketched in 2D becomes an edge when you pull your sketch into 3D. of the end of the cylinder or hole to add a center mark.

   • Cylindrical faceThe surface of a cylinder, formed by points at a fixed distance from the axis of the cylinder. to add a center line.

   • Sphere to add a center mark.
