Removing faces

You are here: Preparing designs for analysis > Remove geometry > Remove faces

The Faces tool allows you to quickly remove faces from your design. Use it to simplify your design by removing holes, protrusions, etc.

Click Faces in the Remove group of the Prepare tab.
Select the faces you want to remove. Hold the Ctrl key to select more than one face.
Click the Complete tool guide.

SpaceClaim attempts to remove the selected faces by extending neighboring faces.

The following tool guides help step you through the process:

	The Select Faces to Remove tool guide is active by default. You can also select by drawing a box in the design window. You can only select faces while this tool is active. Edges and vertices will not be selected.
	The Complete tool guide finishes the operation.
