Changing Detailing Options

Application Defaults
New window font Choose any font installed on your system. This font will be used as the default font for all new windows. This font will be used when a new window is created for an old or new document. It will also be used for new DesignSpark Mechanical sessions.
Default drawing graphics style The default graphics style used for new drawings.
Autoscale drawing sheets Check this option to have the scale automatically determined based on model size. Uncheck the option to set a default custom scale.
Create total cross sections Check this option to have new sections created as Total sections. Uncheck the option to have new sections created as Area sections.
Default section fill style Choose either Hatch or None.
Document Options
Detailing options for

Select one of the following from the Detailing options for drop-down list:

  • All New Documents to create a default detailing style for all your designs. These settings will not affect any currently open documents.

  • This Document to set options for the current design only.
Predefined Defaults

To reset all options to predefined defaults, click one of the Defaults buttons to set all document options to the default.

  • Reset to ASME Default
  • Reset to ISO Default
  • Reset to JIS Default
  • Reset to GB Default
