Select a tool from the Clipboard ribbon group to cut, copy, or paste any 2D or 3D object. You can use these tools any time, even when you are designing with other 2D or 3D tools.
Objects are pasted into the active component. Objects that can be named (components, bodies, axes, or planes) will retain their names when pasted.
When you cut and paste a solid or surface, the object retains its color and face style.
Select the object.
Select the Cut tool from the Clipboard ribbon group.
You can also press Ctrl+X or right-click in the Design window and select Cut from the context menu. If you cut the face of a solid, it is converted to a surface.
Select the object.
Select the Copy tool from the Clipboard ribbon group.
You can also press Ctrl+C or right-click in the Design window and select Copy from the context menu.
Cut or copy the object.
Select the Paste tool from the Clipboard ribbon group.
You can also press Ctrl+V or right-click in the Design window and select Paste from the context menu.
If you do not specify a location to paste, the copy is placed in its original location relative to the world origin.
When you paste an object and it is located outside of the visible area in the Design window, the zoom is adjusted to make the object visible.
Select all the faces of the object.
(Optional) Alt+click the face of the object you want to attach to the face.
The face is highlighted in blue.
Cut or copy the selection.
Click the face onto which you want to paste the object.
Paste the object.
The object is pasted on the face at the location you clicked. The blue face is attached to the clicked face.
Select the face of the round.
Cut or copy the face.
Click the edge onto which you want to paste the round.
Paste the round.
Right-click the selected object (or set of objects).
Press Delete.
If you want to delete something and fill the gap with neighboring geometry, or create faces in the gap, you should use the Fill tool.
If you delete the face of a solid, it is converted to a surface.
