Spot welds tutorial

 

This tutorial will teach you how to define spot welds on a part and analyze them in ANSYS Mechanical.

Step 1: Open the document

  1. Click on the following link and save the file on your computer:

    spotweld.scdoc.

     

    If you are using the online version of the help, the model will be downloaded as a zip file. You need to save it to your disk and change the file extension from ".zip" to ".scdoc"

  2. Open the document in SpaceClaim.

    The design looks like this:
